1893 Bronze Indian Head Cent 1C NGC MS64RB
Numismatist and author Rick Snow reported in his book on this series that the cents of 1893 were all produced from recoined cents and two-cent pieces of earlier years. The U. S. Mint was continuing its boycott of commercial vendors until they lowered their prices for ready-to-coin planchets. 1893 is a very common date in this coin series, with only fully red gems being a challenge to locate.
