1908-D Barber Half Dollar 50C PCGS AU53
In 1908, the Denver Mint was the second most prolific producer of Half Dollars, though the mintage was not quite as large as that of the previous year. The 1908-D Half Dollar is a common date that can be found readily in MS63 and MS64. There is also an ample supply of MS65s — about half the population of MS64s. The low end of the PCGS CoinFacts Condition Census includes some MS66s, but the real rarities are in MS67, where only a few have been certified. NGC reports a single MS68 — that coin set a record price for the date in 2014, but it resold in 2015 for substantially less.
